Nigerian architect Kunlé Adeyemi is founder and principle of NLÉ, an Amsterdam based architecture, design and urbanism practice. Best known for his work in rapidly developing countries, Adeyemi was invited to built one of the 2016 Serpentine Summerhouses, responding to the 18th century Queen Caroline's Temple by William Kent.

In this interview The Architectural Review spoke to Adeyemi about the design of this Summer House, as well as architecture's ability to improve the condition of slum areas.
